Lifting the top: Big Top centre officially sold
THE Big Top shopping centre in Maroochydore's heart has been sold to real estate giant LaSalle Investment Management Fund, Reed Property Group confirmed yesterday.
The sale included surrounding holdings Ryan Plaza and other Ocean St properties.
The sale comes just months after the Big Top underwent a $20 million makeover.
The news was welcomed by Big Top tenants Joe Natoli, of The Two Brothers Specialising in Fresh, and Shane Stanley, director of Shane Stanley Farmers Markets.
Mr Natoli said he was aware of the sale negotiations and was confident the new owners would invest in the centre's vision and new direction.
The complex's owner, Reed Property Group, confirmed it is in "exclusive and confidential discussions" over the sale of the property and hoped to make an announcement within weeks
