JENNA Moore had been wearing a tiara for 85 days but it wasn't until last Saturday night that she was crowned 2013 Coal and Country Festival Fundraising Princess.
"I was shocked," Jenna, 19, said of her win.
The long-term Moura resident had been fundraising along with fellow entrants Xanthe Willis, Allistastia Fewster and Rebecca Wolski in the lead up to the festival. Jenna took to wearing a plastic princess tiara every day to promote her quest.
"Over the years people have said they weren't really sure who was doing it so I thought it would be a good way for people to see I was doing it," Jenna said. "People would ask what it was for so it really promoted it (the quest).
"Coal and Country Festival secretary Maureen Clancy said a combined total of $40,873.73 from the girls was commendable.
