Steve Hansen still wary of Wallabies after Eden Park

ALL Blacks coach Steve Hansen admitted his side had a mental edge over Australia but said he didn't think the 41-13 win at Eden Park on Saturday night would be relevant once the business end of the World Cup rolled around.

"Do we have the edge on them mentally from a win-loss point of view? Obviously we do because we have won more than they have," Hansen (pictured) conceded.

"But they're trying to build something within their own group and you don't just go from one end of the string to the other overnight."

Despite the Wallabies being in a tough pool with Wales, England and Fiji, Hansen said he believed that could be an advantage.

"All of those games are going to be tough for them (Australia)," he said. "If they get through that, they'll be battle-hardened, and they'll be a hard side to beat."

The Wallabies will play the USA Eagles in Chicago on September 5 on the way to the World Cup.
