BASKETBALL: Day three of the 2013 Under 16 Queensland Basketball Championships gets under way today with the Rockhampton Rockets representative teams set to scorch the court.

A record number of teams took to the court at Rockhampton Basketball and the Rockhampton Grammar School for the boys' competition this week while the girls hit the court in Cairns.

Rocky had two boys' teams in the competition with team one beating Mackay 67-58 before losing to Maroochydore 61-75.

Team two was beaten by Sunshine Coast 104-25 and Mackay before defeating Northside 73-45.

In the girls' competition, Rockhampton was yet to record a loss with victories over Toowoomba and Mackay.

Anna Dyer from Rockhampton led the way in points in Division Two with 24 points per game on average and 48 total match points.
