Newman government 'least trusted in Australia'
It has been a tough week for the Queensland government.
But at least its staffers still have a sense of humour.
Faced with an Essential Poll which found the Queensland government to be the least trusted state government in the nation, a government spokeswoman found some solace.
"Despite a campaign of misinformation by the opposition and the unions, Queensland still rates above South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, and is considered more trustworthy than the media and trade unions," she said, pointing to another series of statistics from the poll.
Of its 1002 respondents, 37 per cent considered the Queensland government to be "not very" or "not at all" trustworthy when asked to judge it on that quality, "from what you have read or heard about".
