‘Pisses me off’: Bellamy blasts Seibold attackers

Embattled Brisbane Broncos coach Anthony Seibold has found an unlikely ally in Craig Bellamy, with the Storm boss holding grave concerns for his welfare.

Bellamy said the social media mistreatment in wake of Brisbane’s poor results and off-field behaviour “pisses” him off.

Seibold has been forced to call in police to investigate slanderous posts on social media about his personal life.

He has hired Brisbane legal firm Howden Saggers to take his case to cyber security experts at Queensland Police to try to track down the people responsible.

Bellamy said he couldn’t imagine what Seibold was going through.

“I haven’t followed it too much, because I don’t really want to,” Bellamy said.

“I couldn’t imagine what Seibs is going through at the moment. I don’t want to. It pisses me off.

“He is being hammered from pillar to post and now we are worrying about his mental wellbeing. We should have been worrying about that weeks ago.

“I don’t know Seibs all that well but he is a decent guy and a really good coach. He’s a very good family man and at the end of the day it has just been relentless footywise and now private. It shouldn’t be happening.

“I hate seeing what he is going through at the moment.”
