Raining on their parades a week out from start of season

YEPPOON Swans and Brothers Roos Aussie Rules club members are praying for sunshine after recent downpours put a dampener on their 2014 campaigns.

The Swans and Roos have been left without fields to train or play on after Swan Park, Yeppoon and Kele Park, Rockhampton, were flooded during the heavy rainfall that has drenched the region during the past few days.

A week out from the start of the 2014 AFL Capricornia season, Yeppoon A-grade coach Mark Wallin said while the club had an alternative field to train on, their Round 1 home match against Glenmore Bulls was in doubt.

"We're training somewhere else for the rest of the week and will have to assess the field over the weekend," Wallin said.

"At the moment it's about 50/50, but we may have to change the location.''
