Locals ‘outraged’ at speedster’s careless driving, crashes
DESPITE five major crashes in the past five years, police have said a rural road in the Lockyer Valley isn't a major concern.
It comes as residents voice their frustration at hoons terrorising the Kensington Grove area.
Residents of Australia II Drive and Thallon Rd in Kensington Grove say speeding along the roads has been an issue for years, and drivers are regularly crashing as a result.
Naomi Mason lives on Australia II Dr, and said she was fed up with the behaviour of some motorists.
"There have been five crashes (in five years) in more or less the same place," Ms Mason said.
"And even though there have been only five reported incidents, there have been a lot that have been unreported."

The issue came to a head last month when yet another driver lost control in front of Ms Mason's property.
On April 19, locals saw a black Mazda travelling well above the speed limit along Thallon Rd and Australia II Dr, before it lost control and hit a guard rail, before spinning a further 60m up the road and crashing into a driveway culvert.
Ms Mason said the impact was massive.
"The impact with the guard rail was so severe that it tore the front right wheel, axle and wheel assembly from the vehicle," she said.

The male driver was taken by ambulance to Ipswich hospital.
Ms Mason said the simple solution was for drivers to take more care and obey the road rules.
But she also called for traffic control devices like chicanes and speed bumps to be installed to force drivers to slow down.
Laidley police officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Regan Draheim said while police were aware of residents' concerns, the road was not a "significant concern".
"There have been some traffic crashes in that area but nothing significant and no patterns which tend to indicate that it's any worse than anywhere else," Snr Sgt Draheim said.
He added police had conducted extensive patrols in the area over the weekend, with no offences detected.
