No charges laid over Stanwell stabbing and microwave assault
NO CHARGES have been laid after a stabbing at Stanwell overnight Tuesday.
One man was reportedly taken to hospital with stab wounds and head injuries after reportedly being hit with a microwave oven.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said crews responded to reports of a disturbance at a Stanwell residence about 10pm and arrived on scene to find a man with a stab wound to his abdomen and head injuries.
The spokesperson alleged the incident happened when two men began arguing.
"The two men started arguing and one slashed at the other with a knife," the spokesperson alleged.
"As a result, he cut his hand and the other man had stab wounds to his abdomen.
"The other man also received injuries after copping a microwave oven to the head."
The spokesperson said while no complaints were made to police by either of the men, police filed a report and one man was taken into custody.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed crews transported a man from the scene.
The spokesperson said the incident was called in about 9.15pm and one man was taken to Rockhampton Hospital in a stable condition.
