THE stage is set for some fast and furious racing at the 2016 All Australian Ride-On Mower Racing Championships at Yaamba today.
Forty-eight nominations have already been received, with more riders registering yesterday morning.
There will be racing in the outlaw and big block classes, as well as from A-grade through to D-grade.
The Central Queensland Mower Racing Club is hosting the national championships for the second consecutive year at its track at Yaamba.
President John Kennedy said spectators were guaranteed high-speed entertainment, with some of the country's best riders racing at up to 90kmh.
A number of the entrants were on track earlier in the week completing time trials.
Racing will run from 9am to about 2pm today.
Entry is $5 with children under-14 free.
