Tough week for Cap Coast sides in premier league games
TIM English scored early for Cap Coast from a free kick in the Premier League Division 1 knock-out final in Gladstone on Saturday.
Coast held that lead well into injury time, shutting Clinton out of the game and having a couple of chances to go further ahead.
But Clinton managed to score late from a free kick scuffle to force the match into extra time.
Robert Jones received a second yellow and Coast were down to 10 men.
Clinton scored again and Coast got another red card to go down 2-1 in a thriller.
Coast coach Shaun Janes could not have been prouder of his charges.
"We left nothing on the park. We didn't have a bad player on the pitch. So close," he said.

Frenchville 2 d Cap Coast 1
IT WAS a tight, fast, even game, with both sides creating opportunities in the Premier League Division 2 major semi-final at Jardine Park on Saturday.
Late in the first half the Coast keeper and defender clashed to cough up an easy ball for Frenchville to tap in. Coast replied immediately though, passing through several players for Jack Hamilton to finish from close range for a 1-1 half-time score.
At the 71st minute the Coast keeper made a poor decision to run out and assist defenders, and Frenchville chipped in to an open goal.
Jake Duivenvoorden and Jack Hamilton did a lot of chasing but Frenchville held on to their 2-1 lead.
Coast now play Clinton in the preliminary final.
