Truck to remain stuck near Stockland escalator for two hours
2.05PM: A READER has rung and said the heavy vehicle removal specialists have been on the scene of the crash since about five minutes after it was reported to emergency crews.
The reader said the wait was for the power to crash area to be isolated and switched off.
They also said the reports from earlier saying the firefighters were leaving the scene until the truck was to be removed were incorrect.
12.15pm: FIRE crews are wrapping up at the scene of a truck crash at Stockland, at least for two hours.
The scene has been declared safe, but the towing company that specialises in heavy vehicles can not get there for another two hours.
It is believed firefighters will return to the scene when the crashed truck is to be removed.
11.40am: EMERGENCY services are dealing with a situation at Stockland Rockhampton which includes live wires and busted sprinkler system.
It is believed the truck has rolled from the roundabout near Sizzlers and into the underground carpark.
It is believed the truck has crashed, impacting an escalator and causing live wires.
Apparently the sprinkler system has also been damaged.
There are no injuries.
