WATCH: Fugitive Rocky teen bolts as police attempt arrest
UPDATE 3PM: AN 18-year-old fugitive who fled police custody this morning will face court next month.
The Park Avenue man was wanted on arrest warrants, but when police attempted to arrest him this morning he bolted from the Main St address.
The boy jumped fences and ran through a number of homes on Thackery St as police pursued him on foot.
A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed the man was charged with two counts of obstruct police, and one of entering a dwelling without the consent of the owner.
He has been bailed and is due to attend the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on August 3.
UPDATE 11.30AM: A HANDCUFFED fugitive who escaped police custody this morning was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants.
A Queensland Police Services spokeswoman confirmed the 18-year-old Park Avenue man bolted from the scene when police attempted to arrest him at a Main St address.
The boy jumped fences and ran through a number of homes on Thackery St as police chased him on foot.
Police cordoned off surrounding streets during the pursuit, before arresting him on Thackery St about 9.30am.
The man is currently in the watch house, and is expected to be charged with two counts of obstructing police, and entering a dwelling without consent.
UPDATE 10.30AM: A HANDCUFFED man jumped fences and ran through backyards in North Rockhampton as police chased him on foot this morning.
It is understood police were arresting the man in Thackery St when he escaped custody and headed towards the railway line.
A foot chase ensued, police cordoned off streets and were stationed on the corner of Alexandra and Thackery streets.
A Queensland Police Services spokeswoman confirmed the man was caught about 9.30am.
He has been taken to the watch house, and police will lay charges.
It is not yet known why police initially apprehended the man.

9.25AM: A MAN hunt is underway for a handcuffed man who seemingly escaped custody in North Rockhampton.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman confirmed police are chasing the offender on foot in Park Avenue.
Initial reports indicate the man is handcuffed, and was last seen running through the backyard of a Thackeray St residence, towards the railway line.
Police have cordoned off nearby streets, and it is believed the man is still on the block.
Police crews are stationed at the corner of Alexandra and Thackeray street, and another nearby street.
QPS were unable to confirm why police were trying to apprehend the man.
