YOUR SAY: Australia should follow US lead on climate

SINCE Donald Trump became president of the US he has made only one bad decision, to separate children from their parents when they were caught coming in from Mexico and beyond.

It will be hard for him to live that down. Almost all other major decisions and policies have been really good and strong, specially when compared with his Democrat predecessors.

His broadside against the World Health Organisation is exactly the right response that should be promptly followed and fully endorsed by a lot of freedom loving countries like ours.

But do you think our Scomo and his team will have the strength of will and common sense to do that?

Doubtful, to say the least.

There are two other monstrously important issues that Canberra (both sides of politics) have continued to ignore at huge cost to the nation.

The first, not only to save billions in these times of huge money-printing and borrowing because of the “plague,” but also to definitely give Australia some of the world-best nuclear powered US submarines, Canberra must do what it should have done 18 months ago and ditch that deal with the French to try to build a fleet of diesel-electric subs in Sth. Australia.

Second, Canberra (and Melbourne, Adelaide too) should smartly come to their senses and realise that real facts and truth revealed by some fair dinkum scientists that the demonised gas CO2 has nothing at all to do with global warming.

The information championed by the likes of Al Gore, David Attenborough, as well as climate scientists and politicians should now be fading fast into obscurity where it belongs.

And hasn’t all this ignorance cost the whole country a fortune in higher electricity bills?

Australia should, already, have followed Trump’s good lead, and pulled right out of the Paris Accord.

The US is not the only major country to make that very sensible decision.
